Bolt Cover’s Premium Product Protection Insurance will help extend the useful life of your products and reduce disruption to you, by swiftly repairing or replacing your glasses if they’re accidentally damaged or stolen.

If you have chosen to add our Eyewear Insurance to your purchase, should the unexpected happen and you need to make a claim, you’ll have:

  • Expert support from our claims handlers

  • Specialist eyewear technicians on-hand to repair your glasses, if possible

  • Or swiftly receive a like-for-like replacement, or reimbursement via a voucher for the financial value of the item, less any excess due

Policy Excess:

  • For prescription glasses and prescription sunglasses there is no charge or excess in the event of a claim.

  • For non-prescription sunglasses, you will pay 10% toward the cost of any claim, with a minimum contribution of £25.

What’s Covered

This insurance protects your eyewear from accidental damage and theft for one year, including:

  • Unintentional breakage or destruction of the glasses.

  • Damage to lenses, frames, or both, that renders them beyond normal use.

  • Provide like-for-like replacement of your original prescription, coatings and frame, if stolen.

What’s Not Covered?

  • Normal wear & tear

  • Damage in transit

  • Deliberate damage or neglect

Are There Any Restrictions?

  • You must be a UK resident

Anything Else?

Cover will only start once you have received your item. You will then receive your contract of insurance (containing the IPID, Policy Wording and your Policy Schedule) shortly after, via email from Bolt Cover.

Important note: In the event of theft or malicious damage, or where you have reason to believe a criminal offence has been committed, you must notify the Police and obtain a crime reference number to be eligible to make a claim on this insurance.
